Why it matters
A failed sensor is also a safety system — by code, the door must auto-reverse when the beam is broken. A misaligned sensor means the auto-reverse may not work.

Why does my garage door go back up when it tries to close?
Most often the safety sensors near the floor are misaligned, dirty, blocked or have a damaged wire, so the opener thinks something is in the way. It can also be the opener's close-force setting. We test and fix both.
Why is my garage door sensor light blinking?
A blinking or off sensor light usually means the two sensors can't see each other — from misalignment, sun glare, a dirty lens, or a loose or cut wire. Realigning or rewiring the sensors typically solves it.
Can you program my car to open the garage?
Yes. We program HomeLink and other built-in car systems where compatible, along with new remotes, wireless keypads and myQ app control.
My keypad stopped working — do I need a new one?
Not always. A dead battery or lost code pairing is common and can be fixed on the spot. If the keypad is old or damaged, we carry replacements and program them during the visit.
